Six New Registrations Can Be Applied across Land Offices in Taichung

  • Date: 2018-02-15
  • Issued by: Land Administration Bureau

Starting from June 1, 2015, you can apply at any land office closest to you for six new registrations, including those for auctions, mortgages, assignments, transfers in rights, advance notice, and cancellation in advance.

In the past, you might have to travel a long distance to the concerned land office to apply for a registration, as Taichung occupies a vast area. The city government has since January 1, 2013 opened “cross land office” application for six simple registrations, including that for the lien cancellation. This measure has since received high recognition and praise from the public, witnessed by the increasing number of applications year by year. This expanded “cross land office” registration policy is expected to further save people from spending time and money on traveling back and forth and offer the public a more convenient service.

Taichung City has been upgraded to a special municipality. As a result, there have been more and more large-scale urban development and construction projects, more and more real-estate transactions, and more frequent real-estate registrations, said the Land Administration Bureau. “It is thus the right timing for us to push out this innovative measure to meet the public expectations. We will offer more online services step by step in the future,” noted the Land Administration Bureau.

To provide even more innovative services, the Land Administration Bureau has been working with its counterparts in other cities and counties to offer service in accepting and delivering the application forms of seven manual registrar transcripts to each other since June 1, 2015.“We vow to continue administrative reform so as to provide the public with more varied, more convenient, and higher quality services,” said the Land Administration Bureau.
