Public Announcement for 2015 Land Auction-1st Batch

To solve the long-term unresolved problems of land registration, the Taichung City Government has been implementing the" cadastral cleanup programs” promulgated by the Ministry of the Interior since 2008 and has completed inventory and public announcement of 14 classes of land. As of today, there have been 1,744 land plots put on annual auction according to schedule since 2011, gaining a total bid amount of NT$ 585 million and injecting a local tax return of NT$ 88 million into the city coffer.

Taichung City Government has publicly announced the first batch of land auction in 2015 since June 29, 2015 and will start to accept bid documents from September 15 until 9:30, September 30, 2015. Then, bids will be opened at 10:00 the same day. The Land Administration Bureau said that there are 12 bids for 12 land plots located in seven administrative districts, namely Situn District, Shengang District, Houli District, Taiping District, Qingshui District, Shalu District, and Xinshei District, and the total base price of the 12 bids is NT$ 47 million.. Among them, bids 1 to 3 are up for the second bidding at a reduced price. If no one tenders the bids, these three land lots will be registered as state-owned.

All the relevant bidding information has been posted on the bulletin boards of the Land Administration Bureau and the respective Land Office, District Office, and Village Office where the respective land plot is located. In addition, people can also visit the website of Land Administration Bureau and that of each Land Office to get all the information related to public announcement, cleaning processes, reporting and registration procedures.

The land plots shall be handed over to the bid winner as is, and the bid winner shall be responsible for all the formalities for the planimetric feature and underground objects. Within 10 days after a bid is awarded, those who are qualified for the pre-emptive rights can claim in writing their preferential right to acquire the land plots. It is suggested that you carefully inspect and examine the land plots in person before making a bidding decision.

Once again, please be reminded that the real rights owner can still apply for suspension of the auction before the award of a bid or the registration of a land plot as state-owned, if he or she can present relevant documents to apply for land registration, said the Land Administration Bureau.
