20th May pronounced in Mandarin sounds like「I love you」 so many newlyweds would like to have their wedding ceremony on the very special date. Ms Hsu has lived in Taichung for 7 years since she studied in the university. She chose to marry to her Japanese boyfriend, Mr. Kambara, yesterday (20th). They invited the Taichung Flora Expo mascots, Love and Life, to attend the wedding party where their arrivals caused a great stir and cheers from the audience and guests. Everyone asked to have the group photos with them. And Life brought the Flora Expo tickets as presents for the newlyweds as their wedding gift. Ms. Hsu said, they would invite her husband’s family from Japan to Taichung for the participation of the Flora Expo festival.

Ms. Hsu has lived in Taichung for 7 years since she studied in the university until she found a job. Two years ago, she studied in the Japanese class during the summer time, then she met Mr. Kambara, the Japanese teacher. Later on, they’re getting close and became the lover of each other.

Both of them decided to have their wedding on 20th May (520) with the witness of the family and friends. Ms. Hsu said, she was very impressed with the special and cute mascots when she went to Taichung Park for the the lantern festival and saw the lanterns and exhibition posters with the designs of Father Leo, Mother Leona, Love, Life and Horsiver this year.

Later on, they had more coincidences with the Taichung Flora Expo related activities during the process of preparing the wedding ceremony; for instance, she and Mr. Kambara would like to find a beautiful photo background to take their pictures for the marriage registration and they took the pictures in front of the Flora Expo mascots poster at the Household Registration Office of North District to record the very important moment in their lives. And they had a wonderful picture there. When they’re looking for the wedding venue, they happened to find the Leopard cat family and Horsiver waving hands to them right at the minute they arrived at the hotel. It’s really amusing and happy. They felt the Leopard cat family were always standing by them during the whole period when they were preparing the wedding so that’s why they would like to invite them to attend their wedding ceremony.

Sister Love and brother Life were excited to attend the first wedding ceremony of the others so they were curious to check and flipped through the photo album of the newlyweds. They wanted to share the happiness and joys of the newlyweds so Love signed up her name,「LOVE」, on the attendance book of the wedding ceremony to bless the newly married couple. When they followed the newlyweds to enter the hall, they felt like walking on the red carpet of the super stars with the welcoming and greetings from the audience. The guests applauded on the both sides of the walkway lively and the atmosphere is hot and happy.

The newlyweds had invited the children on site to get on the stage to have group photos with Life and Love. Many children were so excited to see the whole Leopard cat family that they rushed onto the stage to join in them. The whole place was filled with the laughters of the children. At the last, Life presented two Flora Expo tickets as the wedding gift to the newlyweds and invited them to join in the Flora Expo carnival.

Ms. Hsu said, they’ve visited some famous gardens and flower parks in Japan so they were looking forward to the upcoming events of Taichung Flora Expo. They will take the the Flora Expo tickets sent by the Leopard cat family to see the beautiful flowers and advanced agricultural technologies of Taiwanese. The couple will invite their Japanese family to attend the events together. With the convenient shuttle services planned for Flora Expo, the people without cars like them can enjoy the activities conveniently and happily. It’s really a warm service for them.
