The 15th Taichung City Council’s regular meeting no.8 was held on the morning of September 19, City Councilor Zhang HongNian commended the work of the Taichung city government team in the past three years during his opening speech. He also thanked the national army for helping clean up after typhoon Terri blew down a large number of trees. He also urged the city government to consider planting other species of trees, and after discussion, it was listed into the meeting’s special report.

And in the coming year, it is expected that the Council Building, Taichung’s Metropolitan Opera House, Taichung Science and Technology Park’s Special Road No. 3 and other major construction work will begin as well. It is believed that once these major developments have been built, Taichung will have an entirely new look. The city council commended the hard work that the city government team members have put into all these efforts in the past three years. And everyone has been working together in harmony, planning the city’s various developments for the sake of the welfare of the public.
