A fraud was reported to the Taichung City government on May 8th. It is said that fraud groups have taken the advantages of ID cards renewal and have pretended as District officers or household registration officers to get personal information through phone. The city government reiterated that the District officers or household registration officers will not confirm the personal information through phone. The public shall be aware of this fraud and shall not release the information. If any fraud related to above issues is found, the public can call 「165」 or report to the near police station.

The City government received the fraud report from Miss Lin. It seems that the fraud groups pretended as household registration officers and asked the public to release some personal information because of the computer malfunction in the office. The city government put an emphasis that each household registration office in the Taichung has backed up all personal information. And, They will not confirm the personal information through phone. The public shall be care of handling the situation and shall not release your personal information.
