At the press meeting on Mar. 12th, Mayor Hu took the arrow of Cupid, the God of Love, to a symbolic god of love for each wedding couple to bring whole-life bliss as they work together for a happy and fulfilled life. According to Mayor Hu, marriage has remained one of most significant issues in life, and the classical Greek romantic wedding in a ‘Roman palace’ in the Round Theater was expected to bring all participants a fulfilling marriage life. He assured all that the special prototypical Greek wedding ceremony, meticulously tended by city government, would provide all wedding couples with unforgettable memories.

Mu Gui-Xin, Director of Civil Affairs Bureau, decorated as a European duck, stated that the Athenian romantic group wedding would blow the horn for registration of group wedding ceremonies throughout the whole year and leave an eternal memory, and welcomed all intending couples to register for the romance in the Large Conference Room on the 4th floor of City Hall from 8AM of Mar. 14th.

The Group Wedding this year is set with the topic: ‘May Love and Fulfilled Destiny??"Honey in Athens’, to create an Athenian romantic wedding, European style Theater full of nature and sunshine atmosphere, in the Round. Hundred of couples will dance to palace horns and elegant orchestra music and make their marriage vows. Mayor Hu and witnesses will be appareled as Roman royalty and warriors to offer their felicitations to the new couples. Pure and graceful romance in a ‘Roman palace’, will provide the hundred couples with the most exquisite moments.
