Today, Mr. Yoshinobu Ishikawa, the Governor of Shizuoka visited Mr. Hsiao Chia-Chi, the Deputy Mayor of Taichung City, to discuss preparatory affairs for direct chartered flights between Mt. Fuji Shizuoka Airport and Taichung Ching Chuang Kang Airport. Mr. Yoshinobu Ishikawa said that they welcome visitors to Japan via the flight from Taichung to Shizuoka. The direct flights will be the shortest route from Taiwan to Mt. Fuji.

The delegation was led by Governor Ishikawa. The members included 9 officers of tourism and aviation. The delegation wanted to attract more Taiwanese tourists take the direct flights to Shizuoka and visit Mt. Fuji and the hometown of Chibi Maruko Chan, a famous Japanese cartoon broadcasted in Taiwan. Shizuoka is located between Tokyo and Nagoya. It’s an important city of Honsh.
