Organized by Taichung City Government, the "2012 Street Art and Creativity" activity has been launched in Central district and along the Calligraphy Boulevard, incorporating the efforts of artists, designers and design students. Through this activity, an abundance of meaningful local history and culture is being creatively spotlighted and showcased for the public. This initiative also boosts local development and demonstrates Taichung city's cultural riches and potential.
The event includes the "Creativity Central District" and "Artistic Calligraphy Boulevard" activities. The first begins on November 11 (Sunday) in Central district and is followed by the second on November 17 (Saturday). All art pieces will be displayed until the end of December. In this way, the Cultural Affairs Bureau aims to both beautify the streets and present unique attractions to visitors via a wide range of cultural exhibitions and events.
