Environmental pollution and toxic food have caused a lot of concern among our citizens. To promote Green Mark products that feature "low-pollution, recyclable, and resource conservation" and awaken environmental awareness among the public, the Environmental Protection Bureau held the “Green Stores and Green Mark Products GO” campaign between September 26 and September 29. Many green stores in Taichung City were invited to promote their green products in this event. It is hoped that more and more people will use the Green Mark products to reduce toxic residues and protect our environment.

Liu Bang-Yu (劉邦裕), Director-general of Environmental Protection Bureau, said, “The aim of this activity is to instill the concept of environmental protection into the spending habits of consumers, so that people will always choose to buy Green Mark products and/or other environmentally friendly products.” It is expected to sell at least 3,000 pieces of Green Mark products reaching a sale amount of NT$ 500,000. It is also hoped that this event will make more people know where to buy Green Mark products.

Anyone who buys three or more Green Mark products at any of the Green Stores or buy things amounting to NT$ 500 including one (or more) Green Mark products will be given a Green Mark promotional product. During the four-day event, all the 1,500 promotional products were given out.
