Berliner Philharmoniker to Give Opening Concert for Asian Tour in Taichung

To allow people to enjoy the wonderful music feast of Berliner Philharmoniker, the Cultural Affairs Bureau of Taichung City Government will simulcast with the rest of world at the Fulfillment Amphitheatre the "Berliner Philharmoniker Opening Concert for Asian Tour" on Friday, November 8, 2013.Free tickets (everyone can get 2 tickets at most) will be given to music fans at the square in front of Fulfillment Amphitheatre (at the intersection of Wenxin Road and Xiangshang Road) at 17:00 and admission will begin at 6:30.

After an absence for almost two years, Berliner Philharmoniker will kick off its 2013 Asian Tour in Taiwan in November! Coming to Taiwan for its 3rd time, the Berliner Philharmoniker is highly impressed by the passion and music appreciation capability of Taiwanese fans and thus arranges a repertoire of highly anticipated classical and contemporary masterpieces.

At its Opening Concert of Asian Tour, the Berliner Philharmonikerthe will perform Anton Bruckner's Seventh Symphony, which is renowned for its beautiful and romantic German and Austrian styles, and Pierre Boulez's "symbol", which represents for contemporary French styles. Such a musical repertoire not only shows that the Berliner Philharmoniker the, atop orchestra in the world, is still courageous enough to expand its performance territory but also exhibits that it pays great attention to this opening concert in Taiwan. People who cannot come over to the music venue are welcomed to the Fulfillment Amphitheatre to get a gorgeous feeling in the autumn night.
