6th Precinct Cracked Down 10 People in a drug-taking Party

The prosecutors of Taichung District Prosecutors Office led the police of 6th and 4th Precincts to perform a nationwide investigation of campus drug taking. Five males and five females were found holding a drug-taking party in room No. 220 of a famous motel in Taichung at around 6:45 on Jan 23, 2013. Some drug paraphernalia and a pack of Ketamine weighing 31.48g (including the bag) were found on site. Furthermore, the police found another pack of Ketamine (weight 50.54g, including the bag) in the vehicle of the suspects as well as nine coffee packs containing drugs in a backpack. The above evidence, a private car and all suspects were transferred to Taichung District Prosecutors Office for violation of the Narcotics Hazard Prevention Act.
According to the police, the suspects used a popular motel in Taichung to hold the party and called party girls for fun all night during winter vacation. When the police made a police raid according to a tip-off they received, unconcealed Ketamine and smoking paraphernalia were laid out on the table, with electronic music playing loudly all night. They thought that they could avoid being noticed by hiding in the motel, but the loud and noisy music still attracted the police.
As the age of Ketamine and MDMA users dropped, the police appealed to the youth not to try taking drugs for curiosity or friends. Taking drugs not only does harm to one’s health, but causes irreversible consequences. The police will intensively enforce drug regulations and crack down on drug dealers in order to stop crime groups from endangering the society.
