At around 7:00, September 8th, 2015, Yuemei Police Station, Dajia Precinct, Taichung City Police Department received a cake with a letter from a woman. It was a gift to express the woman’s appreciation to the policeman for improving the residential environment for her during her pregnancy. The pregnant woman was troubled by the noise made by the kids in the neighborhood who played balls day and night during their summer vacation then. After repeatedly asked those kids to lower down their voice in vain, the noise had affected her body and mind, the woman called the police at 15:00, July 13th, 2015 for help.
Receiving the report, Yuemei Police Station immediately dispatched a policeman to deal with the case, and the cop effectively requested the kids in the neighborhood to “keep quiet”. After the woman gave birth to a healthy baby, she felt very grateful and gave the full-month birthday cake to thank the policeman.
Chief of Yuemei Police Station also praised the police officer handling the case, while the officer modestly replied that it was simply his responsibility and shared the cake with his colleagues right away.
