The Social Affairs Bureau, Taichung City Government cooperated with Department of Digital Content Design, Ling Tung University to train NPO personnel during the summer vacation in utilizing Google, LINE and other cloud technologies to cloudify their meetings in order to save manpower, material resources, time, greatly enhances efficiency, and innovate meeting models. A progress presentation was held yesterday (13th) and secretary general Liao Tsung-hou presented a certificate of gratitude to the teachers and students of Department of Digital Content Design, Ling Tung University for giving back to society with their professional competence.

The Social Affairs Bureau stated that NPOs have suffered problems such as insufficient professional personnel, high turnover rate, insufficient degree of cloudification and insufficient fund to conduct cloudification. With the intermediary of lecturer Li Cheng-yi of Ling Tung University, Taichung City Government cooperated with Department of Digital Content Design led by Chairman Wu Chung-rung and fellow students He Cheng-you, Hsu Yu-cheng, Lu Ying-yu, Lin Shih-feng, Chen Shih-ying and others in holding 2 illustration meetings and 6 computer training courses during the summer vacation to assist NPOs. A total of 118 NPOs and 178 people attended these courses.

Teachers and students from Ling Tung University used the cloud technology of Google Apps for Work to assist NPOs in holding events, such as online registration with Google Docs, using Google Album to save and share event photos, using Google Drive to save final reports and share them with co-authors and etc. These innovative meeting models highly enhance their working efficiency and are conducive in work handover and inheritance.

Social Affairs Bureau also stated that, in recent years, many civil groups were founded in Taichung City, representing the flourishing development of civil power. Taichung City Government will continue to promote club joint meetings, personnel training and other guidance works with the anticipation to strengthen these civil groups and organizations so that they can endeavor themselves in services with Taichung City Government.
