In welcoming the 2018 Taichung World Flora Exposition, Taichung City Government continues to implement various constructions. As the transport hub during the flora expo, Taiwan Railways Administration and Transportation Bureau of Taichung City Government will be establishing East Station and shuttle bus station traffic plan for Houli Station. In addition, the Construction Bureau of Taichung City Government has commenced “Houli Station shuttle bus station access road construction project”, which is slated for completion by the end of this year. The project will serve transfer and shuttle bus functions between various flora expo parks and the parking lots.

According to the Construction Bureau of Taichung City Government, the Houli Station shuttle bus station access road construction project begins from the shuttle bus station in the west and ends at Sec. 2, Houke Rd. in the east, totaling 210 m long and 18 m wide. The estimated construction period is 180 days at a cost of approximately NT$ 15 million. The project is expected to be completed by the end of this year.

In conjunction with the inauguration of Houli Station East Station and the shuttle bus station in the future, the project not only provides shuttle bus function between various flora expo parks and parking lots, visitors may also walk to Houli Horse Ranch & Forest Park Area via the “Floral Expo Footbridge and Footpath Construction Projects”, thereby creating a complete route for pedestrians and vehicles and generating local tourism development.
