The second year after the Central Taiwan Pass was launched, Taichung City Government Tourism Office unveiled 5 brand new super value theme products, including amusement park, hot spring, classic, accommodation and international limited. With this card, tourists may enjoy discounts of up to 78% as well as the “one night accommodation at premium hotel in Taichung for one additional TWD” limited special offer. Travelers can now travel in Central Taiwan effortless with the Central Taiwan Pass.

Central Taiwan Pass is a package tailored for domestic and international self-service travelers that combines must-buy products in Taichung, Changhua, Nantou, Yunlin, Miaoli, Chiayi County and Chiayi City, ranging from entertainment, gourmet food, shopping and accommodation. The aim is to let the travelers appreciate the slow-living, leisurely lifestyle of Central Taiwan, allowing them to enjoy traveling in an easier, more cost-effective manner.

According to the Tourism Office, 1 to 3-day day pass for Taichung City and 11 Taiwan Tourist Shuttle service routes in Central Taiwan will continued to be included in this year’s Central Taiwan Pass. In addition, Fun Park them products will be launched nationwide, where tourists will be able to enjoy unlimited visit to 6 major theme parks in Central Taiwan within a 48-hour period, including: Lihpao Resort, Janfusun Fancy World, Atayal Resort, Dongshi Forest Park, West Lake Resortopia and Sun-Link-Sea Vacation Resorts. Only 500 passes will be released for the first issue, while stocks last.

Tourism Office Director Chen Shen-shan emphasized that the city government has adopted the “Arriving in Taichung and Departing from Taichung” approach to promoting tourism, attracting tourists from Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand to visit Taichung. In 2016, the Central Taiwan Pass was unveiled, where tourists only need one card to travel in central Taiwan with ease.

Central Taiwan Pass provides a wide array of special offers, including “Heartwarming Hot Spring” theme products, enabling the public to enjoy hot spring at discounted prices. On the other hand, “THSR + Accommodation” package has brought together Taiwan Characteristic Hotels Association and LOHAS Alliance to launch over 20 accommodation special offers. “International Limited” theme products include 5-day data card and 1-day unlimited city bus pass.
