Volunteers fire fighters honored in the year-end feast of the 3rd Fire Brigade. And the presentation ceremony of fire guard car by Guan Jie-kuan

To commemorate his deceased mother’s public spirit, Mr. Guan Jie-kuan of Taichung expressed his wish of presenting a fire guard car through Yu Wen-qin, the Commander of the 3rd Fire Brigade and Huang Wen-sheng, the village head of Chenggong Village to feedback the neighborhood as a continuation of his mother’s charity. Arranged by the Fire Department, the donation ceremony was held at 6:00pm, December 4 (Monday), Jiang-wu Restaurant. At the same time, the year end feast and the honor ceremony of volunteer fire fighters was also held. It was touching and lively.

Yang Yuang-ji, the Secretary-general of the Taichung City Fire Department, represented to receive the donation. In the feast, he expressed that this new fire guard car cost about NT$1.65 million, being a vehicle with high performance. In the future, this vehicle will be used for recusing in disasters, transportation of logistic equipment, fire patrol, and convoy mission. In his speech, Secretary-general Yang expressed his gratitude for Mr. Guan’s donation, and praised him highly for “earning from the society, and feeding back to the society.” With his charity act, he would like to invite more people in the society to contribute financially on fire fighting and rescuing jobs. Likewise, people will be safer, living the life of being protected and safeguarded.

In the feast, about 70 excellent volunteer firefighters and paramedic volunteers were also honored. Each of them were presented with a medal as token of their contributions. They were also encouraged to upgrade their rescuing skills in the future to protect people’s life and property.
