Yesterday (13) on the global leaders meeting of Muni Expo in Israel, Mayor Lin met local innovation work teams and their newest smart city innovation services. Mayor Lin sent out the invitation of being the strategic partners to Shuinan Smart City’s construction. Taichung City’s international relationships is pushed further upon meeting and exchange of governing experience with Yona Yahav, the mayor of Haifa.
Known as the newly established nation, Israel prepares to celebrate its 70th anniversary. The MUNI Expo opened on 13th at Tel Aviv Convention Center gathers nearly 50 newly established companies, including most advanced and optimistic new business in city and internet technology field, and will be showcasing modern city products and services.
Mayor Lin joined the exposition under the arrangement by the host of International Mayors Conference, exchanged thoughts with many participant teams, and was acquainted with various smart city solutions including scale data collection, analysis of city network information, high risk drivers and enforcement on parking violation, tests on potential cancers, and general free hold smart remote devices, etc.
In addition, after Haifa mayor Yona Yahav’s speech “How to Create a City to Co-Exist Judaist and Muslim Using Infrastructure and Other Means” which shared their experiences on ethic inclusion and co-existence, Mayor Lin and Haifa mayor exchanged opinions and thoughts together.
Mayor Lin mentioned that the MUNI Expo covered transportation, city security and home services, provided many innovation services which can be applied to Shuinan Smart City. The collaboration of smart city challenge with IBM in 2016 has put Taichung traffic issues under great inspection. This Israel trip is looking forward to bring back strategic partners for innovative governance in Shuinan Smart City. It is also expected to bring new business opportunities to benefit Taichung’s future development.
The MUNI Expo at 20,000 sqm Tel Aviv Convention Center is equipped with conference rooms and exhibition halls that cater hundreds of events and exhibitions from the MUNI Expo to Haifa mayor Yona Yahav’s speech. With more than 2.5 million tourists a year, the under-construction Shuinan Conference Center will be much resemble to the premise.
To this, Mayor Lin pointed out that the conference center can contain international conferences and all types of exhibitions, attracting leaders and index corporations from around the world. To accommodate the vigorous development of hand tools and precise instruments are highly demanded international, Taichung City Government is Building the Shuinan International Conference Center that provides bigger space, more seats and exhibition stalls, aiming at becoming the leader of city economy, tourism and hotel industries.
