The unlawful buildings will not become the permitted buildings after paying the house tax

(Taichung News)People usually misunderstood that the unlawful buildings would be legal if they have paid the house tax. The officer of Local Tax Bureau, Taichung City Government, said, those unlawful buildings without permits of usage would be charged with tax because they were existing there in place. Therefore, before the unlawful buildings torn down, the house tax will be calculated and charged. The taxpayers pay for the house tax is because of their obligations but the unlawful buildings without permits won’t turn out to be legal after the house tax paid.
The officer of Local Tax Bureau said, the house owner should prepare all the detailed documents within 30 days after the buildings built to apply for the permits of the building usage from the local tax office where the house located and report the current market value of the house with the actual usage. No matter if there is expansion of the house or remodeling of the house, the policies are the same. In addition to the house with building permits requiring to apply for the registration of transferring of the ownership in the land administration office, please remember to apply for the house tax taxpayer change for those unlawful buildings to avoid the rights of the successors damaged when people were proceeding the inheritance transferring of ownership.
