54 students from the “Class of Land Policy and Sustainable Rural Development” and the“Class of Land Tax and Valuation” organized by the International Center for Land Policy Studies and Training visited Taichung Land Administration Department in the afternoon of October 16th. The students were all from other countries; the Department and Zhongshan Land Office warmly received our foreign friends. The director of the Information Office, Lu Te-Hua, delivered an English presentation on behalf of the Department; the topic was centered on Taichung Land Registration and Land Value Assessment for our foreign friends in order to let them know more about local administration. In addition, a visit to the Zhongshan Land Office to observe land registration, measurements, land value assessments and relevant matters was also arranged.
During the presentation, foreign students were interested in the Taichung LOHAS Website combining real estate information and raised many questions, and also exchanged opinions on the practice of Taiwan land value assessment and theory.
During the visit to Zhongshan Land Office, students admired the spacious work environment and good planning of operations; they also took photos and asked questions about the working procedures. Furthermore, the passion of colleagues and volunteers impressed them very much, highlighting the business of the Department and promotion on international diplomacy.
