To celebrate the first anniversary of Yido Mansion (Lin Mao-yang’s former residence), the art exhibition, seminars, markets, outdoor cinema, band performance, etc., a series of events, starting now until August, invite everyone to share the beauty of traditional historic building. The premise, under the direct of Taichung City Cultural Affairs Bureau, serves as a venue for various events from art exhibition and street performance to literature seminar and cake workshop, to emphasize the core values of culture, tourism and heritage. The shows provide citizen a new aspect of aesthetics and deepen the cultural tourism of Taichung.

Earlier today (17) the opening ceremony for “Yido Mansion Anniversary Painting Exhibition” at the premise kicked off with the performance of the Aesthetic String Quartet, with the presence of Cultural Affairs Bureau Director Wang, City councilperson Shen You-lian and Tsai Ya-ling.

In addition, Flora Expo Mascot “Omi-ma” was present to share “Village cold noodles” with the public, surrounded by the music of “La Young Chamber Music” and retro songs by A-dan music band.

Sketch works by students, under the instruction of national treasure watercolor master Sun Shao-ying, are rapidly executed works of the observed scenery, beings and the communication. The rare exhibition is through to the end of August, said Cultural Affairs Bureau.
