In order to make the citizens to go outside to see the blossoms during the vacation, the Construction Bureau, Taichung City Government has expanded the coverage to 31 more sightseeing spots, in addition to the 10 spots suggested for seeing blossoms and trees last year, around some open spaces like the park squares, green parkways and school etc. at the mountains, seasides and tun districts area by seasons, months and florescence. They combined the local features with the legends or stories there and continuously updated the specialized tree species and florescence to provide the blossom watch information on the website so people can clearly follow the updated blossoms to see and enjoy the blossoms in the city at the perfect timing.

The officer of Construction Bureau said, January to April is the season to see the pink cherry blossoms at the following area, including the Civic park at Xitun District, Taichung Municipal Focus Junior High School, Chongderongyuan Triangle Park at North District, Wenchang Elementary School at Beitun District, Dongshi Forest Garden at Dongshi District and Dajia Tiezhen Shan Zhungzheng Park etc.; people may also see the royal poinciana sharing the same florescence at Dadun cultural center of West District and pink shower at Dali sport park of Dali District.

During February to March, the florescence of rosy trumpet trees, you may visit Daji park at East District, Luchuan riverside of National Chung Hsing University at South District, Fengle Sculpture Park at Nantun District, Taichung municipal Li-Jen junior high school at North District, Dali children art museum at Dali District and Park Lane across Chung Ming S. road and Gong Xuei two road at South District. People may also go to Buze park at Beitun District, Wenshu park at Xitun District and Fengfu park at Nantun District to see golden trumpet trees at the same time.

There are orchid trees to see in Hungkuang university at Shalu District and green lane at West District during March and April; meanwhile, China trees with blossoms can be seen in the Wenxin forest park at Nantun District and Longyang bridge at Xitun District; pink HongKong orchid trees are blooming in Banpingtsu park at South District; snow white Chinese fringe tree will be seen in National Museum of Natural Science at North District. By April to June, golden shower trees, Queen crapemyrtle and green ebony will bloom lively. Everyone can go to see the「Golden shower」poured by golden shower trees in National Chung Hsing University at South District and Meichuan parkway at West District, or go to Tieyuan parkway at North District, Songyon park at Beitun District, Renmai elementary school or Fengchuen elementary school at Fengyuan before being too late.

The officer of Construction Bureau pointed out that the trees with long florescence period like the florescence of HongKong orchid tree at Dali sport park of Dali District, which may start from October and last until next March; or Madagascar almond at Taichung intercontinental baseball field at Beitun District or aside the subway of National Chung Hsing University at South District, the florescence can last from April to November. And the evergreen trees like the trees in Banyan garden on Darong E. street and Darong W. street at Xitun District; cinnamomum camphora in National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts at West District; autumn maple trees in autumn maple park at West District are all the good choices to look up to.

As to the hot sightseeing spot, Dongshi Forest Garden, people may have multiple choices to see cherry blossoms from January to April, Tung’s flowers from March to May, Maple from Novato December and plum blossoms from December to next January in the spring etc.

The officer of Construction Bureau explained, the City Government has selected the seasonal flowers or trees in good shape and with High conformity to recommend to the citizens; regardless the plants with high conformity, aggregating in a block or just like a solitary alone will all become beautiful scenery in different ways.
