As 2018 Taichung Flora Expo will be launched on 3rd November, Taichung City Government will conduct the final countdown to Flora Expo in 100 days concert at 3p.m. in the afternoon on 22nd July at the People’s square to welcome the upcoming Flora Expo. There were singers, Li-an Wei, Jia-jia and the other 8 groups of super stars to have performances with the on-site cultural creative market of Flora farmers to exhibit the Taichung featured flowers and cultural creative products. Recently, the City Government announce who will be the ambassador of Flora Expo to perform the theme lyrics created for Flora Expo for the first time in the concert to let the people feel the heat of the Flora Expo.

「Graceful things is happening quietly！」Mayor Chia-lung Lin said today（18th） at the press conference for 「Final countdown to Flora Expo in 100 days concert」, Flora Expo was prepared for more than 3 years with the high expectations from the people everywhere. We believe our Flora Expo will surprise the world and make the people to see the beauty of Taiwan. The citizens of Taichung will be proud of the city they live in. Many popular singers and bands were invited to greet the Flora Expo with everyone there.

Mayor Lin was accompanied by the Director of Information Bureau Guan-ting Juo, Agriculture Bureau Juan-jay Wang, Director of Land Administration Bureau Ji-hsiang Chang, Director of Tourism and Travel Bureau Shen-shan Chen and many District chiefs to attend the press conference of Flora Expo 100, open the future「Final countdown to Flora Expo in 100 days concert」. Councilor Su-chen Chiu, Su-hua Chen, Tien-shen Li and Joao-guao Chiang were there to support in addition to the representatives from the offices of Legislator Tzu-yung Hung, Hsin-chun Ho and Hsiao-yen Lu. BIKE band had a live show then to drive the on site atmosphere lively.

Mayor Lin said, the City Government is initiating the Final countdown to Flora Expo in 100 days concert with a lot of joys. Taichung city has split the exhibition venue from one to three in Fengyuan, Houli and Waipu etc. because of discovering the precious Leopard cats during the preparation period of Flora Expo. Meanwhile, the plan was modified once again to keep the monuments and historical constructions in Houli horse ranch. The team of the City Government has never stopped and continuously work on organizing the great event to present the best flowers and gardening agricultural achievements of Taiwan to the whole world.

In addition to the City Government, there are enterprises and volunteers getting involved in the activity aggressively because they want to make Taiwan to be seen in the world through Flora Expo. The citizens join in together to start from the places they live to change Taichung to be a garden city so the municipal aesthetics will not just shown in the exhibition area but also everywhere thoroughly with beautiful scenery. . They want to invite everyone to「Listen to the sound of blooming」.

Mayor Lin said, the City Government has targeted at 8 million of visits for the Flora Expo, moreover, it’s possible to hit 10 million of visits. Flora Expo will be able to help to upgrade the international image of Taichung and leverage the activity to enhance the local participation. It will leave a sustainable exhibition halls and nurture the honor of the citizens for living in Taichung.

Director of Information Bureau Jou said, 22nd July is the last 100th day to Flora Expo opening so the City Government plan to leverage concert to echo to the theme of Flora Expo「Listening to the sound of blooming」. The invited singers and bands share the common feature which is their strong connection to Taichung. Some bands have been deeply rooted in Taichung for a long time, some singers were born in Taichung and some studied in Taichung as students before. No matter Jia-jia , Li-an Wei and Totem band not only have close relationships with Taichung but also won the glories in Golden Melody Award.

Regarding the secret guest and the theme lyrics of Flora Expo, Director Jou said, people are curious about who would be the ambassador of Flora Expo but it’s going to be announced in next few days. The ambassador has written the theme lyrics for Flora Expo and the first performance will be played in the concert on 22nd July. The officer of Information Bureau of the City Government said, the invited cast for concert, including the Golden Melody Award winner, Li-an Wei , the nominated best Mandarin lady singer of Golden Melody Award, Jia-jia , the nominated best new talent of Golden Melody Award, Egg burger, the nominated best band, Totem band and the very popular hostess among young people, Lulu (Lu-in Huang), in addition to the local bands BIKE band , 929 band , silver bus band, One-step band and Flora Expo mascots, the whole Leopard cat family, will be there to have a great opening dance for Flora Expo.

The concert will be held at People’s square and the cultural creative market of Flora farmers will be set there as well, including Taichung cultural creative products, creative table games, flavored drinks and hand-made cakes etc. Especially, the featured flowers and green plants planted and sold by the Taichung flower farmers can allow the people to contact the the farmers directly to support the local agricultural industries. The leading roles, Jiang-Lai Lin and Bin-hung Liao, in the promotional video of Flora Expo will attend the market event.

The officer of Information Bureau indicated that people can go to the People’s square for the concert and enjoy the music on that day. Also, the visitors can buy the local flowers in Taichung from the farmers there so they can hold the flowers and sing the theme lyrics of Flora Expo. And the City Government will arrange the live broadcast of the concert. The live broadcast platforms like 2018 Taichung Flora Expo official Facebook, Youtube show of Formosa TV, FTVLIVE and banana live on 4 season web TV of Formosa TV etc. will allow the domestic people to participate in the lively final countdown to Taichung Flora Expo in 100 days on line together.
