In order to facilitate the destination marketing, Taichung City Government and Dyaco International Charity Foundation have the joint collaboration to conduct the 6th「Dyaco Taichung Marathon」 to kickoff on 4th November. There will be the routes for professional 42 kilometers of full marathon, 21 kilometers of half marathon, 9 kilometers of running for health and 3 kilometers of running for Lohas etc. along the famous sightseeing spots in Taichung City. It’s an event combined with public benefits and social feedbacks. Mayor Chia-lung Lin mentioned, the marathon will start on the next day to the opening ceremony of the Flora Expo so this is a perfect destination marketing by combining these two big events together. Everybody is welcome to join in these events.

「Dyaco Taichung Marathon」press conference was held today (7th) at the Municipal Building on Taiwan Boulevard. The opening ceremony was started with the dance performed by Maria Social Welfare Foundation; Mayor Lin, Director of Sports Bureau Chin-tang Wang, Director of Tourism and Travel Bureau Shen-shan Chen, Director-general of Industrial Development and Investment Promotion Committee, Shi-yin Tsai, Councilors Jaw-guao Chiang, Chao-rong Tseng, Long-jer Hsiao, Dyaco International Charity Foundation Chairman Yin-jun Lin, Dyaco International Co. Ltd. General Manager Ming-nan Chen, Chief Executive of Operation of Maria Social Welfare Foundation, Mei-ling Chen and Vice President of Great China Region in Eelin Entertainment, Yin-hua Wang were all present there to support the activity.

The people mentioned above were there with the event ambassador, Super model of Eelin Entertainment, Li-ya Wang and Flora Expo mascot, Horsiver, to kick off the event and announce the registration started. Some other people like the representative of Legislator Wan-jian Chang-Liao office and the representative of Councilor Yao-chung Chang office attended the ceremony as well to make the event lively.

Mayor Lin said, Dyaco Taichung Marathon is getting more popular with more visitors year by year, some people even come to join in the activity every year. It’s not only providing the people who like the marathon an opportunity to do exercise but also connecting the hot sightseeing spots of Taichung City together along the National Taichung Theater, Maple Garden, Rainbow Village until blue freeway at Wanggaoliao etc. All the domestic and international good hands can enjoy the scenery with beauty of Taichung while running the race.

Mayor Lin has mentioned as well, the kickoff date of the marathon is 4th November, the day after the opening of Flora Expo so we can market Taichung City to the world through the combination of the marathon and Flora Expo. Also, the primary intention of the game is to connect to the charity sponsorships and donations to feedback to the society so we’d like to thank Chairman Lin of Dyaco International Charity Foundation for inviting the people to register for the sports and Flora Expo concurrently to enjoy the beauty of Taichung.

Chairman Lin of Dyaco International Charity Foundation said, this is the sixth marathon race held in Taichung which reflects the close sentimental bounding between Dyaco International and Taichung City. And we will continuously feedback to the welfare organizations and echo to the vision of Taichung to become a sport city. As the Flora Expo festival will be launched in November, the race of this year will be a perfect combination with the beauty of goodwills. We’d like to wish the events a big success then.

The officer of Sports Bureau, Taichung City Government, said, there has been accumulated to more than 80 thousand of good athlete participants from more than 31 countries for Dyaco Taichung Marathon since 2013. There will be professional 42 kilometers of full marathon, 21 kilometers of half marathon, 9 kilometers of running for health and 3 kilometers of running for Lohas etc. in this race, the participants can freely decide to donate the rewards to either the Maria Social Welfare Foundation, HONDAO Senior Citizen’s Welfare Foundation or Hope Foundation for Cancer Care then.
