1. Rabies is a kind of disease that can be spread between dogs and humans, as well as all other warm blooded animals. The death rate for this disease is 100%.

2. The main disease spreading agent are dogs, the spreading caused mainly through animal bites.

3. Any pet dogs or cats that are three months old or above must be taken to animal hospitals or veterinarians for their first rabies vaccine, and wear a certification tag issued by the Taichung City Government. These vaccinated pets must continue to receive regular yearly vaccines in order to ensure the safety of public health.

4. Anyone who fails to comply by the above vaccination regulations will be liable to be fined between NT$10,000 and NT$50,000.
