The Bicycle Ride Around Taiwan Activity, jointly organized by the Taichung City Government and the Cycling and Health Tech Industry Research and Development center, commenced on October 15, starting from the National Chung Hsing University and finishing at the Taiwan Museum of Arts. For five consecutive weeks, citizens of Taichung are encouraged to make use of the bicycle paths in the morning, to experience the fun of cycling, to encourage citizens to take part in healthy recreational activities. Bicycles businesses, 7-11 convenience stores, bicycles stores, bicycle teams and schools have all come together to promote cycling in Taichung.
