The 2005 Model Husband and Wife Declaration Ceremony took place at Feng Le Statue Park on October 16 afternoon. Taichung City Deputy Mayor Hsiao was there to give blessings to the couples as well as present them with prizes. There were exciting live entertainment performances as well. Ten model couples received prizes for being excellent husband and wives, their happiness were the envy of everyone present, and the atmosphere there was warm and exciting.
Deputy Mayor Hsiao represented Mayor Hu at this ceremony to give blessings to these model couples and to present them with prizes. Deputy mayor Hsiao also expressed that the family is the beginning of all strengths and basis of peace in society; and the basis of a family depends on how a couple conducts their relationship. The couples who received prizes today are all role models for us. It is also hoped that these happy couples will help spread the seed of love, so that our society will become happier and even more peaceful.
