Taichung City Government held its 2005 Annual City Government Employees Athletic Meet and Garden Fair at 8:30am on October 29 at ZhongXiao Elementary School. Taichung City Mayor Jason Hu was present at the opening ceremony. There were 47 units and approximately 4,500 people participating at this athletic meet. City government employees were all present to demonstrate their togetherness. Mayor Hu has always been encouraging all city government employees to provide better services to the people with a happy, healthy and relaxed attitude.

Mayor Hu also expressed that this was one of the biggest athletic meets organized by the city government, with 47 teams and 4500 people actively participating. Everyone demonstrated their energy and vitality through their seriousness during the competitions. This proved that this city government team is the best team there is, and he hoped that all employees will provide better services to the people of Taiwan with happy, healthy and relaxed attitudes.
