The first Culture Xin Chuan Cup National Dragon and Lion Dance Competition took place on November 6 at the National Taiwan College of Physical Education. Over 124 teams from communities and schools all over the country took part. The atmosphere was very exciting, with drum music and many different styles of dragon and lion dancers performing.

Taichung city’s deputy mayor Hsiao was present as the representative of mayor Jason Hu to welcome all the teams from all over the country. He also wished all the teams the best of luck as they demonstrate their true team spirit during their performances. The official competition commenced after a demonstration performance of dragon and lion dances.
