On April 19, Taichung District Prosecutor's Office's Chief Prosecutor and Taichung Deputy Mayor Hsiao, along with related city government units went to the Jin Xiang Electronics Game Center located at 862-864, Wen Shin Road Sec. 4 and Da Dun Electronics Game Center located at 86-88, Gong Yi Road Sec. 2. These two businesses violated building regulations by making unlicensed changes to their premises and facilities. Electricity and water supply to these businesses were cut off accordingly, their interior décor and shop signs were removed and dismantled. They were also ordered no to re-open again. This was done in an effort to support Executive Yuan Premier Su's determination to fight crime and ensure public safety.
Due to illegal gambling activities, the police have already been tracking these two games center that were dismantled today; they were sentenced by the court and ordered to have their license revoked. However, the owners of these businesses changed the building by removing the firewall between the two buildings and continued to open for business. The police have continued to check on them and demanded improvement, the businesses were also fined several times; yet no improvements have been made, seriously affecting the security and safety of the public.
