"The first seminar of Taichung city Think Tank, 2006" was launched on the 13th. Mayor Hu, hosting the meeting, thanks the college students for contributing their precious opinions in terms of making Taichung a better city. Mayor Hu also states that the communication between the city government and the students enables the students to have better understanding of the city policies and the city government to improve existing policies. Is it hoped that the city policies can deliver exactly what the citizens want.

A total of around 50 people, college students, and young members from Cultural Affairs Association and City government along with the first-line officials of the city government participated the seminar. The organization says that the city government engages the young people who have passion in city policies to form Taichung City Think Tank to contribute their ideas to better off Taichung. To include more voices from different levels, young members from Cultural Affairs Association and City government along with the first-line officials of the city government were also invited to the seminar. The purpose of the seminar is to have the young generation's voice heard and their energy adapted into making a youthful city and energized development. It is believed that the establishment of Taichung City Youth Think Tank will lead the city to a brighter future.
