Taichung City government is holding Painted Saxophone exhibition (2006-9-18)

Painted Saxophone Exhibition will be launched from 9 pm to 5 pm now until December 15 at the Taichung City Culture Affair Bureau. (Monday off) During the period of exhibition, every Saturday 3 pm, a series of concerts from classical music to Jazz will be presented to those who with love music or art. It is expected to satisfy our eyes and ears. Schools and groups are welcome to book free guided tours, which are also specially arranged. Please call Miss Hong or Laura for more information. Mayor Hu also said at the press conference on the 18th that nothing lasts, not fortune, lives but beauty and creativity like Painted Saxophone Exhibition. He also said that all the efforts to promote cultural activities whose beauty and creativity will be carried on and spread to every corner of the world. He especially expressed his gratitude to the organization for making this possible.


This exhibition breaks away from the traditional stereotype image of saxophones and give them new lives. In addition, the exhibition also gives the public a chance to learn about the history and come to realize the importance of developing the local industry. It is hoped that a series of activities can bring Taiwan's Saxophone under the international spotlight and attract more tourists to Taichung, a city of music and art.
