To effectively improve the parking situation in FongJia, FuXing BOT parking lot was launched on the 25th this month. Taichung deputy mayor Hsiao Jia Chi said at the opening ceremony that the parking lot would be able to offer space for 67 cars and 69 scooters for the public, which will definitely ease the situation. He hopes that the parking lot will bring in more business to the FuXing area.

Taichung deputy mayor Hsiao said that the city government has been working hard to improve the on going parking problem in FongJia. BOT bill involves local investors to have the parking lot built with four floors above the ground and one underground. This is the first parking lot based on BOT, another one is situated underneath the ZhongZheng Park.

The Bureau of transportation said that FuXing Parking Lot, situated at the corner of

FuXing and WenHua road, used to only cater to 22 cars. However, the parking lot now can fit 67 cars and 69 scooters. To benefit more people, the fee will be charged according to the time and the length of time you park. For example, from8 am to 2 am, the first hour will be NT$20, starting from the second hour, the fee will be raised to NT$60 and continue on. From 2 am to 8 am, the fee stays NT$20 for each hour. The charge for scooters is NT$20 for all day.
