Principal Su from National Taiwan College of Physical Education led 200 members of the “Around Taiwan Iron Camel Squad” to visit Mayor Hu who expressed his admiration for their strength and praised them as: “Simply better” and as “Taichung’s Treasure”. Mayor Hu also led them in joyfully calling for a 15-day bike travel around Taiwan, which would be a milestone in the ‘98 National Athletic Meet in Taichung & Healthy and Energetic Go Go Go’.

　　Mayor Hu said with good humor that all members of the Squad must be great to finish Around Taiwan trips in only 15 days; however, his friend Ma (comparing his strength to that of a horse, Ma” in Chinese) spent 10 days only going from Pingtung to Keeling. Members were all certainly more distinguished, handsome, and admirable than Former Mayor Ma.

　　The Mayor thanked the members for spreading the news of the 98 National Athletic Meet in Taichung to all corners of Taiwan, and stated that the best sport event, 98 National Athletic Meet would be spectacular, and everyone would have to wait to see. He also praised National Taiwan College of Physical Education in Taichung and described it as “Simply better” and “Taichung’s Treasure”.

　　The “2007 second annual Iron Camel Healthy Leisure Event of Biking Around the Island” held by National Taiwan College of Physical Education estimated that over 100 college students participated between July 15th and July 30th and arrived in Taichung City on July 30th . Principal Su led members of the Iron Camel from National Taiwan College of Physical Education to visit Mayor Hu and to report on the fruits of the program. City Councilman Liou, ShiChou came to delivery his encouragement.

　　Mayor Hu declared that the 98 National Athletic Meet would be held in Taichung, the most LOHOS (Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability) city, welcoming all sport experts coming for the competition. The Meet has become the focus of the sport’s field, and participants of the Meet will prove advantageous for shops around by promoting consumption and surge economic activities in terms of tourism, restaurants, and transportation.

　　Iron Camel Healthy Leisure Event of Biking Around the Island” held by National Taiwan College of Physical Education, expects to stand close to grass-roots Taiwan and explore Taiwan’s beautiful landscapes and people, by foot, and further proclaims a 0-pollution bike life with the emphasis on not contributing to global warming through low-pollution tourism.
