There have been no additional confirmed cases of bacillary dysentery, says the Public Health Bureau of Taichung City today (November 28th.). Except for Beitun elementary school, the results of inspections of symptoms of teachers, students, and locals, who have been examined at the medical station, are all negative. The above data shows that the dysentery is under control, and there is no concern of the disease spreading to communities and schools.

The Public Health Bureau says they assigned the China Medical University Hospital infection branch's doctors to stay in Beitun elementary school from today. Today, (November 28th.) the number of symptoms in people in Beitun elementary school are 20. After the doctors' check-up, seventeen of them were diagnosed with having flu, others have not been determined. All of them have had examinations and were under special watch.

The Public Health Bureau of Taichung city strongly emphasizes that in order to prevent intestinal infections; tap water should be the main drinking water daily. Do not drink the underground water; if it's necessary, boil the water to the boiling point and do your best to prevent using it to wash and clean the body. Taichung Hospital has a special outpatient service for bacillary dysentery, if anyone feels they may be infected, go to the Taichung Hospital and tell the doctor if you went to Beitun elementary school or talked to people there, etc., to help the doctor's inspection.
