Da-Keng No. 10 Pavement in Bei-Tun area of Taichung city was completed at the end of this Feb. 2008. Traffic Dept. of Taichung government held the launching ceremony at ten past ten o'clock this morning (29). Mayor Jason Hu said that Da-Keng is a large garden of Taichung city and is the best green land in Taichung and middle Taiwan. The Da-Keng scenery is as beautiful as Yang Ming Shan. After the pavement ten is completed, the network of Da-Keng mountaineering pavements will be better. Mayor Hu encourages citizen to utilize this construction. Better people’s health and happiness is his greatest wish.

In today’s launching ceremony, the government invited ten children, who have a birthday today, to celebrate together with Da-Keng No. 10 pavement. For launching Da-Keng No. 10 payment, folk enterprises also held the event of “Passport of Da-Keng Pavement”; they offer Da-Keng passports to people. Persons can first try Da-Keng No. 10 payment and reach the pavilion of Paper Flower area to get a “Memorial Stamp of No. 10 Pavement Launch”. Next, persons can try nine other pavements. After finishing ten pavements, persons can be presented with an accomplishment certificate and also an identity card of Da-Keng Commercial Circle provided by Da-Keng Commercial Cycle Administration Committee. (With the card, consumers can enjoy favorable reception or discount in Da-Keng Commercial Circle.)

The Traffic Dept. of Taichung municipal government notes that No. 9 and No. 10 pavements of Da-Keng Scenic Area start from Lane 383 of Dong-Shan Road 1st Section. Persons who like to go climbing would be better off taking urban buses (No. 1, 15, .21, 31, 68, 85) and get off in front of Jing-Bu-Ku parking area; people driving must park in the large-scale leveling Jing-Bu-Ku parking area. People can then choose one pavement to enjoy the scenery and exercise at the same time!
