To celebrate Children’s Day, Taichung city government planned two whole days for children with fabulous Children’s programs all in Yuanman Theater. At 15:30 (4/4), Crackers Parent-Child Creative Fair, held by Paperwindmill, was the first show. At 19:30, Paperwindmill performed a fantastic adventurous theater “Adventure in Sun Kingdom”. Mayor of Taichung City, Hu Zhi-Qiang asked children at the opening speech, “We will hold this event every year, and each year is going to be more fun. Is it good?” There was no empty seat left and children all said “yes!” together with loud voices.

Two days in a row, from 15:30 this afternoon to 21:30 tomorrow (4/5) night, this year’s Children’s Art Festival invited 9 groups, performing 15 fantastic shows in a row, to give children an unforgettable Children’s Day.

The Bureau of Culture said, Taichung Yuanman Outdoor Theater would start from 4/7 to have constructions on the stage roof, and actor’s rooms, etc. and needed to block the theater until January 31st, 2009. Taichung Children’s Art Festival would be the last big activity of Yuanman Theater this year.

Mayor Hu issued testimonials at the evening party of the opening to the sponsoring institutes of this year’s Children’s Art Festival, including Washington Bilingual Kindergarten, Today Kindergarten, Classical Cultural Art Kindergarten, Four Seasons Art Kindergarten and Emile Early Childhood Education Institute, and invited them to continue their sponsorship next year to give children a happy Children’s Day.
