Chunghua County Government hosted “Floral Young Central Taiwan Chunghua County Agricultural Products Exhibition” in Taichung Central Shopping Mall to promote floral and agricultural specialties on the 15th. Deputy Mayor Chia-Chi Hsiao attended and helped promote sales.

Chief Shih-Ping Chiu, from the Department of Agriculture of Changhua County Government, expressed his gratitude toward Deputy Mayor Hsiao for his presence in his address; afterwards, he addressed that due to the good weather in the beginning of this year and the hot weather recently, the floral terms were close and the quantity increased as well. The auction price of a bunch of chrysanthemums declined from NT$50 last year to NT$20 this year. A bunch comprised of 12 flowers lead to the loss of cost, so the exhibition was hosted to save the floral farmers in Changhua County.

Deputy Mayor Hsiao indicated that foreigners would buy flowers to take home as they would buy vegetables in markets, demonstrating the same importance of flowers and vegetables and fruits. The various flowers and mushrooms have respective functions and benefit human beings. He expected the exhibition to urge the sales of flowers and mushrooms in Changhua County.
