The prime Alban Berg Quartett (ABQ), the tickets of the performances of which used to be hard to obtain in Tokyo, London, Vienna and San Paolo, was to be conclude in July this year, but the passion of the fans in Taiwan convinced the masters to decide to put off the conclusion and dedicate the most classical performance to the fans in Taichung, in Chungsan Hall in Taichung at 19:30 on the 10th of July (Thu.). In a press conference today (16th), Deputy Mayor Chia-Chi Hsiao, Chief Yong-Feng Chang of Department of Information and Cellist Chen-Chieh Chang, the direct pupil of Valentin Erben, invited the public to join and experience the charming performance of ABQ in Chungsan Hall, in Taichung, on 10th of July.
Deputy Mayor Hsiao indicated that ABQ was meant to break-up in Brazil in July, but spent 30 hours to fly to Taiwan to re-experience the passion of fans in Taiwan. ABQ will host the World Welfare Concert in Chungsan Hall in Taichung on July 10th of this year; the public in Taichung Region can appreciate the world-class prime concert without going abroad. Moreover, the tickets are available at a promotional discounted price to allow young students to enjoy the live performance of world-class masters.
Cellist Chen-Chieh Chang also expressed that he would host a free seminar in the afternoon on Saturday, June 28th to allow the public to understand more about ABQ; meanwhile, to seize the opportunity, the musicians are invited to host a free master class on Friday July 11th to let students and philharmonic associations in Central Taiwan have the chance to communicate with masters one-on-one.
