Mayor Hu awards the Taichung citizens who received the silver and bronze medal of the “German Nuremberg International Invention Exhibition” (2008-12-08)

Taichung City Mayor Jason C. Hu awarded the Taichung citizens who received the silver and bronze medal of “German Nuremberg International Invention Exhibition” and other units and personnel who have been certified with excellent work in the 189th Supervisors Meeting in Chung-Zheng Hall in the morning on the 8th. The awarded titles are as follows:


(1) Citizen Su Yi-Cheng participated in the 2008 German Nuremberg International Invention Exhibition with the electric plant water-saving device and received a silver medal; Weng Kwo-Liang received two bronze medals with “refrigerant medium flow heat exchange air box and its control method” and “frozen air conditioning system with an energy saving and releasing control method”.


(2) Taichung City Aboriginal Tribal Community University has been evaluated with the rank of excellent by the experts and scholars recruited by the city government in 2008.


(3) The City Government Environmental Protection Bureau promoted the “Saving the earth by recycling, e-comics- e-card selection activity”, the students listed as excellent are: Huang Yi-Ling (Shi-Yuan Senior High School), Luo Wei-Lun (Li-ren Elementary School) and Yeh Yu-Chien; they each are awarded with $3,000 worth of coupons.


In addition, the city government Planning Division received 2008 IT months excellent information application product award (E-Government Type) with “Space Information Flow Supply Platform-Digital Map”, which is the highest domestic information award. Taichung City Government is the only awarded government agency and the first county and city government to receive the award. City Mayor, Jason C. Hu, assisted in presenting this award to the director-general of the Planning Division, Liao Ching-Chih, in the morning on the 8th.
