Today, March 5, is Scout’s Day. The Taichung Scout Association had a celebration party in the outer playground of Kuang-fu Fu Elementary School. Near 3000 adult and children scouts gathered together to celebrate the day by singing and other entertaining activities. The Mayor, Jason Hu, also wore a boy scoutBoy Scout uniform and gave a speech to the scouts. He encouraged the scouts to keep on realize realizing the scout’s promises and traditions such as passion, happiness and “Be friendly to everyone and help them”.

Mayor Jason Hu said, that Scout’s Day is the day for the scouts. Being a boy scout is was one of the most honored and happiest experiences in his life. As a boy Boy scoutScout, he had to be dynamic, optimistic and committed to make contributions to improve the society. Next year will be the 100th anniversary for the Scout Movement,Movement; the scouts have to sustain the tradition.

The Mayor also told the scouts that every scout’s uniform have has a National Flag which implies the scouts are the representatives of our country. The scouts should work hard to make contribution to the country and the world.

The Mayor said the scouts are team players and highly recognized by society. It’s the most honorable reputation to be a scout. The boy Boy sScouts should follow the scout promise��"to be friendly to everyone and help people. He encouraged the scouts not only to help the people in their neighborhood, but also the people in all over the world and pass the idea to our next generation.

As a Mayor, Jason Hu mentioned that he had allocated many resources on domestic violence prevention. He asked the young boy Boy scouts Scouts to remember the hot line number for domestic violence prevention��"113. If they find any children as who are domestic violence victims, they should dial 113 to report the case. Hopefully, through the contribution of scouts, the society will be better itself.
