Friends of Lee Deng-heui Heui Association Gifted Taichung City Government with 250 Kawazuka Cherry Trees and plant Plants in Taichung Park(2009-03-20)

The Taichung City will have a cherry blossoms park. Friends of Lee Deng-heui Heui Association and some Japanese cherry blossoms lovers gifted Taichung City Government with 250 Kawazuka cherry blossoms and planted them in Taichung Park. From 10 am on March 20, the Association hosted a cherry blossoms carnival in Taichung Park plaza. In addition to the show, they also offered 300 free Kawazuka cherry blossoms seedlings as gifts for the citizens in of Taichung.


The show of the carnival show included the Taiko Suite by Li-Ming Elementary School, and the a Chinese dance show by Du-Xing Elementary School, and the and an aboriginal music and dance show by Li-ren Ren Elementry School.


Tan-sheng Sheng Wang, Director-general General of the Public Works Department, said In addition to the 250 cherry blossoms planted in the park, the association also provided 500 Kawazuka cherry blossoms seedlings��"200 as a gift for the 3 elementary schools and 300 for the visitors in to the park and the citizens.


Tan-sheng Sheng Wang said that Taichung Park is the a park with one century of history of one century. It is a treasure for of Taichung City. The cherry blossoms will not only add more color to the park more color and seasonal scenes scenery, but also make the park a good recreational place for citizens.
