The Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) has entered the 23rd season this year. Its first game matched between Lamingo Monkeys and Sinon Bulls in Taichung was kicked off at 18:35 on June 20, 2012, by three high ranking officials from Taichung City, namely Xiao Jia-qi (Deputy Mayor), Zhang Dou-hui (Attorney General of Taichung District Prosecutors Office), and Lai Ching-piao (Director-general of Education Bureau).
Serving as the home team, Sinon Bulls first sent in ten rookies to perform a wonderful "war dance", which kindled a lively atmosphere at the very beginning of the game. Then, the Bool Cattle Family, a team that has just joined Sinon Bulls this year, also made a very joyful performance during the break after the 5th inning.
This week can be called a “Baseball Week” in Taichung. Four games are scheduled. They are Lamingo Monkeys vs. Sinon Bulls on March 20th (Taichung Baseball Stadium), Lamingo Monkeys vs. Sinon Bulls at 18:35 on March 22nd (Taichung Baseball Stadium), 7-11 Lions vs. Sinon Bulls (Intercontinental Baseball Stadium) at 17:05 on March 24th, and 7-11 Lions vs. the Sinon Bulls at 14:05 on March 25th (Sun), respectively.
