TAIPEI--The first group of the projected 10,000 Fujian visitors to tour Taiwan in the coming months will arrive in Taichung this Saturday, the Taichung tourism bureau said.

The Taichung City Government and the National Immigration Agency have said they are prepared to greet the arrival of the Chinese tourists with great fanfare.

Taichung tourism officials said that it plans to attract the thousands of visitors from Fujian, southeastern China, to enter Taiwan via Taichung over the next three months.

During the five-day visit in Taiwan, Su will also tour Sun Moon Lake in Nantou County, call on farmers' associations, and visit tea plantations and tea processing centers.
