Labor Affairs Bureau of Taichung City Government held the "Magic Forest-Let's Buy" event on Calligraphy Green way at 9:00, August 31, 2013. This was a mid-year parent-child event to show support for products made by the disabled. In this event, fragrant coffee, handmade rice dumplings, Chinese meson a tea, and pastry cakes were sold by sheltered workshops and disabled entrepreneurs. Many people, including parents taking their children, showed up in the bad weather of that holiday morning of August 31. Total sales has so far reached NT$5.6 million since the event started on July 18.Sales turnover this year did increase more than in the previous years but it still lags far behind the target. Labor Affairs Bureau urges our citizens to come and buy and continue to support the job opportunities for the handicapped.

Lai Su-Hei (賴淑惠), Director-general of Labor Affairs Bureau, reminds people to hurry up. “Come and buy NT$ 200 worth of products at any one of the 51 stores participating in the event to qualify yourself for the lucky draws to be held at the Walking Area of Feng Chia Shopping District at 18:00, December 7,” said Director-general Lai.
