Local Tax Bureau Upgrades Software and Hardware Environment

Local Tax Bureau of Taichung City Government has actively upgraded its hardware equipment and is committed to providing better services to the citizens who visit any of its offices, said the Local Tax Bureau.

In every office of Local Tax Bureau, there are books and magazines available for the visitors to browse, and different kinds of tea are offered according to the weather. In the Wenxin Branch Office of Local Tax Bureau, there is even a digital multimedia museum," which projects the latest tax messages and important municipal information on the TV wall. In addition, interactive tax games are also provided through infrared somatosensory devices and touch screens. Moreover, a doll of spokesperson for Local Tax Bureau is set up there for citizens to take picture with. All of these are meant to entertain our waiting clients.

When too many people come in at the same time, the Local Tax Bureau will take the initiate to add service personnel to help them fill out the application form and/or the power of attorney. If the application does not need the use of computers (like an application for preferential land value tax rate for self-residential house), the applicant will be guided to fill out the form and its submission will be accepted right on the spot, so that our clients do not waste time waiting in front of the counters. If needed, we will also open additional service counters to accelerate our service.

Wu Lian-ying (吳蓮英), Director-general of Local Tax Bureau, said “Mayor Lin asks everyone in the municipal team to listen to the voice of the people and serve the people whole-heartedly. That is why we at the Local Tax Bureau earnestly upgrade our hardware and software environment to provide more convenient services to our citizens. You are always welcome at any of our offices.”
