Spring is coming and mosquito may begin to breed substantially. The Environmental Protection Bureau of (EPB) of Taichung City Government has thus decided to conduct two phases of environmental disinfection from now until October.The EPB also reminds people to clean up their environments more often and make sure to check and clean any water container after the rain to prevent vectors of dengue fever from breeding.

Rain and typhoon are likely to bring in stagnant water, thus increasing the chances for mosquitos to breed. To prevent dengue fever from breaking out, the EPB calls on people to strengthen environmental clean-up and make sure to check and clean every container after the rain.

The EPB will also outsource two phases of environmental disinfection tasks during the period between April and October. The annual spraying of disinfectants has been going on in Taichung City since March 20,2015. Our citizens are asked to help reduce the number of vessels and clean any container or any place that may accumulate water.
