Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan is going to sponsor the annual event – Xinshe Sea of Flower Festival in Taichung. In addition to the stunning sea of flowers, the Agricultural Bureau, Taichung City Government is also going to set up a “Leisure Agricultural Display Zone” there to introduce the eight major areas in leisure agriculture in Taichung. Taichung City Government expressed that in addition to the related items, including environment, hygiene, and transportation, and other activities in Xinshe Sea of Flowers, Taichung City Government is going to mobilize all the bureaus and departments to back up this event, with the hoping of holding it successful and perfectly. More importantly, it hopes to promote local tourism, agricultural development, and more.

In this year’s Xinshe Sea of Flower Festival, it will be themed “visit Xinshe Sea of Flower Festival, and travel along Tai-Route 3.” Connecting the agricultural production in surrounding areas, local landscapes, ecological culture, and cultural assets, integrating marketing will be conducted. The sightseeing area in the Sea of Flower Festival is about 15 hectares, including two core images: “land tablecloth” and “edible landscape.” Whole new visual creativity is fused with the exhibition zones in the integrated planning. Occupying the areas of 3 hectares, the “Theme Exhibition Zone” is going to display the 3D green sculptures carved from the fruits grown in Xinshe. There are also display zones exhibiting different kinds of flowers. In the “Sea of Flower Scenic Zone,” many kinds of herb flowers, such as cosmos, zinnia, buckwheat, sun flower, sun hemp, and more are grown wide in large patches, displaying magnificent scenes of flower sea.

The Council of Agricultural Affairs, Executive Yuan is going to sponsor this year’s Xinshe Sea of Flower Festival again. Taichung City Government will mobilize the Agriculture Bureau, Environmental Bureau, Health Bureau, Social Affairs Bureau, Transportation Bureau, Economic Development Bureau, Fire Bureau, Police Department, and Information Bureau to help handle the trash, sprinkle water to decease dust, and provide medical service, medical facilities, wheelchair loan, maintenance, shuttles, transportation control plan, and more. In addition, personnel will be sent to help with project application, vendors management, and promotion.

The Agriculture Bureau will set up a “Leisure Farm Display Zone” to introduce eight new leisure agricultural zones: Malipu Leisure Agricultural Zone and Choutengkeng Leisure Agricultural Zone in Xinshe, Shishuike Leisure Agricultural Zone in Shigang, Ruanpikeng Leisure Agricultural Zone and Lizixiang Leisure Agricultural Zone in Dongsi, Toubiankeng Leisure Agricultural Zone in Taiping, and Artisans’ Home Leisure Agricultural Zone in Dajia, and Shuiliudong Leisure Agricultural Zone in Waipu. It is hoped that when visitors enjoy themselves among flowers, they can also experience the leisure of farm life.

About the shuttle service, the Transportation Bureau will provide two shuttle lines on Saturday and Sunday from November 11 to November 26. The operation hours of outbound buses will be from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Visitors can take it at Taiyuan Parking Lot or Fengyuan Rail Station. The inbound buses will be departed from the Sea of Flower exhibition zone, from 10:00am to 6:00pm. Buses are running every 15 to 20 minutes. Buses will depart as soon as they are full. Visitors are encouraged to take public transportation to Xinshe Sea of Flower to avoid traffic jam.

Taichung City Government expressed that Xinshe Sea of Flower Festival is one of the major annual events. Although it is sponsored by the Central Government, Taichung City Government will give full support, hoping it to be held smoothly and perfectly.
