The famous Japanese bookstores with complex managements, 「TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE」Taichung Shizheng, conducted the opening ceremony today (26th). The location of the bookstore is in the T&R shopping mall at Taichung 7th Redevelopment Zone. Mayor Chia-lung Lin said, Tsutaya bookstore is near by Taichung National Opera House and Maple Garden with bright space design so we’re happy to see such a great bookstore become a new cultural landmark of Taichung when he attended the opening ceremony.

「TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE」Taichung Shizheng had its great opening today in the T&R shopping mall at Taichung 7th Redevelopment Zone. Mayor Lin, Chairman of CMC Magnetics group, Ming-hsiang Ong, Chairman of TSUTAYA Corporation, Nakanishi Kazuo, Chairman of CAFÉ COMPANY, Nannan Shujiro, Doug's Burger Founder and CEO Koki “Douglas” Terui, Chairman of Deltamac (Taiwan) Co. Ltd. Jao-hung Wu and General Manager Ai-li Yang were all there to attend the opening event with traditional Japanese Kagami – biraki ceremony. After the ceremony, everyone could enter the bookstore to enjoy the first reading experience and the free space comfortably.

Mayor Lin also mentioned, all the companies branching out in Taichung have good achievements, including Shin Kong Mitsukoshi, Costco and so on, all achieved as the top nationwide. In addition to「TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE」, Mitsu OUTLET park at Taichung Port, and CostcoTaichung branch No. 2 will open soon. Taichung City would definitely not disappoint the investors.

The officer of Economic Development Bureau said, the first branch of Tsutaya bookstore in Taiwan was formed in HsinYi District of Taipei under the collaboration between the division of CMC Magnetics group, Deltamac Co. Ltd. and Japanese TSUTAYA corporation. The bookstore introduced the Japanese bookstore culture into Taiwan and became the first bookstore with BOOK & CAFÉ STYLE combined complex management in Taiwan. The most newly formed branch was settled down in Taichung City to bring Taichung a new atmosphere of the cultural and art market. Tsutaya bookstore Taichung Shizheng, owns more than 300 pins of space and combines Wired Tokyo Café, Shibuya with bookstore.
