Based on the planning system and drainage characteristics, a sewerage system must be deployed with primary and secondary sewage pipelines first and then the branch pipes can be constructed and connected to the households. The areas in which households have been connected to the sewerage systems mainly cover East District, West District, South District, Central District, Nantun District (east to Huanzhong Road), and Xitun District (south to Zhonggang Road) because the primary and secondary sewage pipelines have been densely set up in those districts. Households in Beitun District, Xitun District (north to Zhonggang Road), North District (north to Zhonggang Road and both sides along the railways), and Nantun District (west to Huanzhong Road) will be connected to the sewerage systems between 2012 and 2014 in accordance with the schedule that the Construction and Planning Agency (CPA) will have completed the deployment of primary and secondary pipelines.
