Asia headquarter in Taichung, International Network of Liberal Women Takes the City to the World

Guangfu New Village, Wufeng, is on its way towards NGO Station. The location set to be INGO Center in Taiwan has BRH, ISAR, and International NGO Research Center of Asia University lodged in currently. Today (12), Mayor Lin Chia-lung not only issued Dr. Juli Minoves-Triquell, the president of Liberal International, the certificate of Taichung INGO int’l consultant, but also signed letter of intent with INLW (International Network of Liberal Woman), declaring its station in Taichung INGO center. “Taichung INGO Center is going international through city-based international exchange and communication.” Says Mayor Lin.

On today’s press conference of “INGO international consultant certificate presentation & Establishment of Asia headquarter of INLW”, Dr. Juli Minoves-Triquell, the President of Liberal International, received the certificate of Taichung INGO int’l consultant and a memorial trophy from Mayor Lin. Together with Dr. Minoves-Triquell, Mayor Lin signed “letter of intent of announcement of the establishment of Asian-pacific region headquarter of INLW” with Margaret de Vos Van Steenwijk- Groeneveld, the President of INLW, Yang-huang Mei-Xing, the Vice President and President of Asian-pacific region of INLW, under the witness of Legislator Lin Jing-yi, Luo Zhi-zheng, Chief Secretary Tsai Ming-yao of MoFA, Director General Song Zi-zheng of Central Office, MoFA, and delegate of Ministry of Culture.

Dr. Juli Minoves-Triquell is the President of Liberal International and also was in the same class of Ph.D. in Yale University, says Mayor Lin. It is an honor to have Dr. Minoves-Triquell to assist Taichung with better communication and collaboration with global NGOs as int’l consultant. As a present, INLW is establishing Asian-pacific region headquarter in Taichung INGO, Taiwan.

Liberal International is a key NGO that promotes global liberal democratic activity. As a member of the organization, DPP is sharing the progress of democracy in Taiwan with the world with the assistance of Dr. Minoves-Triquell. Now the city based international exchange and communication have supports from Liberal International and INLW will be fortified and enhanced the function of Taichung INGO Center.

There are 282 housings in INGO Center. Of the 13 reinstated houses by the city government, 4 are reserved as share space, the remaining has stationed with BRH (German Search and Rescue Dogs Association), I.S.A.R Germany (International Search and Rescue), Taichung Rescue Dog Squad, NGO Research Center of Asia University, Taiwan Painting Talk Association. Foundation for Yunus Social Business Taiwan and INLW Asian-pacific region headquarter are coming up.

In addition, UNICEF and Kiwanis together established an office in Taiwan and stationed in Taichung INGO Center. Mayor Lin looks forward to the day when the renovated Guangfu New Village cultivates young people start-ups and serves global communications.

As the President of LI, Dr. Minoves-Triquell appreciated the organized city from the government’s achievement. The international vision and foresight of Mayor Lin has won the city the Wufeng based INGO. A relationship with the world is properly started with the relationships with NGOs. Taiwan will be able to convey the value of liberty, democracy and equity to the global society through NGO, says Dr. Juli Minoves-Triquell.

As mentioned by Mayor Lin, international advancement must begin from local. LI is the only int’l political organization that runs with Human Rights Committee and is working closely with UN. Through the process, the organization will advocate liberal democracy in other countries together with DPP members. There shall be better progress on the liberal policy development in Asian-Pacific region through the HQ in Taichung, says Dr. Juli Minoves-Triquell.

Liberal International, LI is key INGO in the world that consists of liberal parties from more than 60 nations, and is an int’l political party league advocating liberal democracy, says City Government. While INLW, International Network of Liberal Women, a women organization under LI that has five branches throughout Africa, Europe, Mid-East & America, South America, and Asian-Pacific, is establishing Asian-Pacific region HQ in Taichung.
